The area on top of the Castle Hill has been the heart of the capital even from the medieval times and partly survived the great wars. Today it is a charming UNESCO World Heritage Site. With cobblestoned passages, Baroque apartments, royal courtyards, cosy cafés and galleries the Old Town of Buda is a mix of culture and heritage, old and new. Of couse we will not miss such important sights as the gorgeous Matthias Church, the iconic Fisherman’s Bastion or the Royal Palace which houses two museums and a library actually.

- 10-12 minute walk up to the Castle Hill
- Royal Palace and Government Area
- Ruins of the Medieval Castle
- Walk in the old town:
- Matthias Church inside visit
- Fisherman’s Bastion
- Jewish District of Buda
- Ruins of the Mary Magdalene Church (Buda Tower)
- Optional Coffee Break

ⓘDuring this walking tour we are visiting the Matthias Church from the inside. If the church is closed due to mass service or wedding etc. We can go to the upper level of Fisherman’s Bastion and we can stop for ‘strudel’ pastry, too. (In this case the ticket to Fisherman’s Bastion and a ‘strudel’ are included in the price.)
